Spyder sat too long - now it sounds/runs bad! Any ideas?

I am having the exact same problems. I have changed the fuel filter, ordered new plugs and wires, and am going to check my fuel pressure. I have tried 3 different fuel injector cleaners with negative results. My fuel pressure is 43-45 with just the key on and 53 with the bike running. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

We find that Barrymans B12, 1/2 bottle to a full tank, can work. But if the injectors get too bad, a sonic cleaning is the only way to get them working properly again. Replacing the fuel with 100% gasoline, premium fuel can also help.

BajaRon, I ordered me a non-dismantle cleaner kit off of Amazon. You just hook to your injectors directly or your fuel line, and by adding injector cleaner to the canister and applying pressure to the injectors, it is supposed to clean them. What are your thoughts on using this type of tool? I am going to start with about 50-60 psi, then slowly increase the pressure, but not too much. You're supposed to let the bike run until the injector cleaner runs out. Do you think this is a bad idea, or what are your thoughts?

I don't have an opinion as I've not tried this method. I certainly hope it works out for you and looking forward to hearing your experience. By not pulling the injectors, it's hard to know if that is your problem. On the other hand, if this fixes it, then that means it was an injector issue. Not having to pull the injectors would certainly be an advantage.

I don't find much independent information on this approach. Mostly promotional. But if it works, I'd love to hear about it. Actually, I'm just as interested if it doesn't.
