There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Spyder Ryde-In Kanab, UT November 30, Dec 1, Dec 2

This event was an experiment and as with many experiments, it didn't go so well but I learned a few things.

It didn't go well because the weather suddenly turned NASTY and I had to concede defeat and cancel it completely this morning.

What I learned is that;
1. There are some die-hard riders that are as crazy as I am.
2. This location is a magnet for serious riders, who will travel long distances to experience the riding here
3. The weather is always going to be a factor when the riding is in the shoulder months at altitude
4. It's worth trying it again - probably in April 2019

Thanks for trying! This weather this is really trying this year. I'm gonna see if I can get outta here later next week and just trailer to Southern NM or AZ and ride on from there. I am determined to get that damn PCH ride in this winter!

Sorry to hear about the weather. I had foot surgery 10 days ago and cannot walk on it for another 2 weeks so the Kanab trip was not in the cards for me this time. I am good to go in April. Will watch for the reincarnation of your get together and look forward to putting (some of) :) your faces and names together.

Well shoot Pete, at least you gave it the "old college try". The timing was just not good due to weather but mostly the time of year, the altitude and the cold weather. Thanks for trying. We are even expecting Snow here in the Old Pueblo tonight and Saturday.

Thanks Jack. I didn't realize the storm was reaching that far south.

Yup, just have to wait and see. High for that time of year in Kanab is 80 and lowest is 5. Average monthly precipitation is 1.2" so not expecting any problems with wet, cold roads.

A freak wet storm is about the only thing that would cancel my plans.

And...it did.

You are certainly a die-hard rider. I wish you well with your trip. If it works out for you to incorporate the Yuma Ryde-In into your plans, that would be great.

I'm up for trying in another time. One thing I learned in doing winter rides like this is to always have an alternate weekend.

When I saw the weather I cancelled my room reservation and then I saw this. Looking forward to Yuma.

When is YUMA? Have not heard anything about it. Now that would be a doable winter ride as would Tombstone, Columbus NM, Patagonia AZ and yep Tucson AZ. We ride year around here.

Jack

Will watch for the Yuma thread. I don't do Facebook so I suppose there are some things that get missed.

Pete, sorry to hear that Mother Nature dumped on you! My wife and I want to take a trip to that area, April or May next year sounds pretty much like what we have had in mind.
