Spyder RTS

Can any body tell me what the turning radious of the RTS. I have not seen this in print anywhere. I have not bought a my RTS but plan on getting my 2011 in April. Can not wait. Test rode my first RT last week and loved it. After reading a lot of negative press on the machine I found it all to be worry free. In a different post I asked if I need to buy the interface cable if I install the Factory CB and possibly the Zuma 660 on the RTS? Thanks again. I can't really tell you the turning radius, but I can tell you this. You won't have to "creep along" wobbling your handlebars back and forth for a slow sharp turn. You won't have to worry about loose rocks or gravel with your foot in making a slow sharp turn. You won't have to inch your way little by little with your feet making a slow sharp turn. About the only thing that you'll have to worry about is remembering to push the "reverse button" down in case your turn isn't sharp enough and you need to back up a bit to make the turn.

The turning feature on the spyder is ONE of the features I personally love most about it. It's effortless and there is no.....no......no worries about the bike being lain over.

Turning radius is specified at 4.84 meters, or 15.9 feet.

:agree: with Mouthpiece. Making a sharp U-turn, especially riding two-up was one of my biggest worries when riding a two-wheeler. The RT turning radius is not real tight but, with reverse, just about any turning radius can be managed.

One other thing you want to be aware of. When turning the RT sharply, the handlebar will contact your thighs. This makes the practical turning radius wider, unless you drop a leg. BTW, I have done this, and it made me feel real stupid...putting a foot down to turn on a 3-wheeler. pps:

My wife and I can attest to every bit of that! The only thing you have to be concerned about is making sure you don't forget to put gas in it on a trip (time just flies by and one can easily forget the gas)!:2thumbs:

I know that the turning radius is not tight enough to execute a right hand U-turn for a Michigan 3-Wheel Endorsement Test! But I passed anyway.
