• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

spyder rt vs gl1800 trike

Some folks have the time and wherewithal to travel 150 miles or more to get to a good dealer. I don't, and that's a major issue for me. I have a great Honda/et al dealer less than 5 miles away, and it's over 60 miles to a decent Spyder dealer.JMHO
This is the exact quandry that I find myself in. My trike friendly Honda dealer is 15 miles away, and my Spyder dealer is 70 miles away. Issues with my left hand post surgery may dictate a change to a RT SE6.

Hi I am basically a lurker. I had a 2008 gl1800 with a champion trike kit. It was my 2nd trike. After many miles I can honestly say
it was the most reliable and comfortable ride I have ever owned. It is now gone. I have been waiting for BRP to come up with a new engine and work some of the bugs out before I commit. I believe the 2014 has met that goal for me. I have test ridden many
different years of spyders and will be getting a RT soon. But my banker (wife) says its not in the financial picture for a while.
So ride both and go with what suits you. But a factory 3 wheeler with a national wide customer service also means a lot. Bob
