There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. New to Can Am. (Quit Harley Cult and joined the Cam Club) Went to change headlights to LED. book said headlight bulb was a H4! Opened headlight housing and bulb was 9005! Could someone tell me the correct bulb? Also Where high and low beams as 9005 is a single filament bulb. Thanks for any help.

What year RT:dontknow: & on my ST it is H4 but is also listed 9003. Have heard of the "shutter" on older RT headlamps, but dont honestly know if that allows for a single filament :p So good luck, someone will have better answers for ya:firstplace:

The correct bulb is the one that was IN there.
Exactly what "book" were you looking at that said H4; was it for the right model of Spyder ??

The RT uses a single filament bulb and a "shutter" to block off the top part for "low" beam.

P.S. Converting headlights to LED is often a LOT more of a problem than you might think.
The LED bulbs often have a disappointing light output (unless you pay a LOT for them) and the light distribution often requires a different reflector.
The Spyder "shutter" might make this an even bigger problem.

A LOT of attempts to convert vehicle headlights to LED fail.

Putting in a high output version of the 9005 would probably be easier and cheaper and much better overall.
PIAA has good recommendations.

Unfortunately these are notorious for wrong info about the parts ..... my manual was also incorrect about what bulb was in the bike :banghead::banghead::banghead: ... AND no Halogen made can compete with the LED's now available ................Mike

Blanket statements usually are not true......at least not completely.

If you want a "plug and play" replacement, your statement OFTEN is not true because of the different light distribution pattern.

Stock to LED

Did a complete replacement from stock headlights/driving lights to LED's on my '16 RTS. Got them from LAMONSTER. There is NO COMPARISON between the stock lights and the LED's! They're GREAT! Not worried about riding at night any more! Lights up the rode like daylight! Absolutely LOVE 'em!
