• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyder RT Patch

Just an FYI---a top rocker, a bottom rocker and a center piece on riding colors can get you in trouble with the "bad boys". You could end up losing your colors or worse for imitating them. They take that stuff very personal and consider that pattern to be theirs. We are very careful up here to use only a top rocker and patch on the back.

:agree:

I'm a member of the American Legion Riders and you're right. No bottom rocker on our vests either. Not a good idea.......

Are we getting a little intense?

ALL I WANT ... and I know it would work ... is a simple backpatch:

TOP BANNER: SPYDER RT or SPYDER RS

CENTER DESIGN: WEB ONLY

BOTTOM ROCKER: ROADSTER

I'm a Blue Knight and I know about the bottom rocker thing. But there are all manner of patches out there with a bottom rocker or word that finishes the statment. See the Harley patch below.

Somehow I can't see any "bad boys" club having a chapter called "Roadster." Oh ... per my previous post, note how the harley patch doesn't illustrate a bike; moreso the images that the bike inspires. So too the Spyder. What image does a Spyder inspire? Uhh ... Webs ... Spiders.

*sigh*

Silver RT Patch

Mark,

Any word yet on if or when the Silver RT back patch will be available?

Well here we go, after a bunch of revisions and edits, we decided this might be the way to go on the full size RT Patch.
Rather than recreate the wheel we decided to go with a variation of our Black Widow RT shirt, as many of you have let us know that you really like the design.

Still in the art stages, let us know your thoughts, it will be similar to the other full size patches we did, will make these in colors as well.

Sure hope you will be at the Spyderfest in April!! Want to get one or two of these patches!!! So bring LOTS OF EM!!!!:agree::2thumbs::yes:

Patches

I really like the smaller shirt-front patches, both with the web and rockers or the bike itself. The size and intended location of the patches make everything work.

BUT

The back patch ... still disappointed. I just want a backpatch with top/bottom rockers "SPYDER (RT or RS) / ROADSTER" and a Web. NO SPYDER PIC.

Back patches of this type are supposed to have a 'rustic' look to the design. The top/bottom rockers and the web accomplish that. But, when you take the futuristic Spyder, whether RT or RS, and make it back-patch size, it looks cheezy (IMHO) against the backdrop of the otherwise rustic design.

Like I wrote before in another post, if we're wearing a backpatch on our cut-away or vest with just top/bottom rocker and web, people will ask about it and we can tell 'em ... or walk 'em outside and show 'em! Plus, that touch of minimalism actually compliments your ryde in a "less is more" way. I simply feel it's overdone to be sitting on my beautiful RT-S and have a picture of it on my back at the same time.

Just me ...
