• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyder RT image for FOBO

Can you take me out and flip it around?

I could take you out but that angle won't work well. It really needs to be full top down shot.
Let me see what I can find on the web and if nothing I will see if this can be used.

Bob

Bob, you da man!

Willing to do more slingshots with different colors...

I know this is not a Slingshot forum but if you can point me to one where I can post these that would be better, let me know.
I am sure Slingshot folks would love the FOBO system and willing to help there.
Not that I want to be a member of yet another forum but if it helps, I will....

For people that have stripes, custom artwork, etc on their Spyder...

I think I have figure this out enough now to actually add those!

What I would need is a top down photo of your trunk, etc, artwork...

So feel free to ask and work with me on that... Kind of like the silver stripes I did for JC.

You can have YOUR custom Spyder with trim and artwork in FOBO :)

Rando, on Android is the background black? If you look at my screen shots you see it is transparent on the iPhone. e.g. no background.

Maybe you did something wrong or Android does not support transparent background?

Can others with a Android phone also provide feedback please...

Bob

Mine both show up with transparent background in Fobo.

Stupid Question, but why you have two tire pressure numbers in the back of the bike. We only have one tire. :banghead:

For FOBO users.

Have you noticed that the pictures of Spyders available in the FOBO app are limited to an orange RS or a brown RS?

If you have an RT kinda sucks :)

Well did you know you can replace that image with anything you want?

So I made a top down view of a Spyder RT and made the background transparent so it looks good in the APP just like the stock Spyder RS images do.

So to use this you have to get it on your phone in your camera roll as that is where FOBO looks for pictures available. Not sure how you do that on Android but this is a how to on the iPhone.

Download this picture from the link below.
Email it to yourself.
Get the email on your phone.
In the email press and hold on the picture and you will get a menu. Select save image. This will save it to your iPhone camera roll.
Now in the FOBO app press and hold on the image of the Spyder.
A menu will pop up and you select "from library".
Now simply select the Spyder picture and you now have a RT.

Here is the link to the RT image I made.

Attached is also what your sensor screen looks like with the RT image.

Enjoy,
Bob

Thanks, he explained to me that he could not get the GIF on his phone so used a screenshot or something.

Bob

I just emailed the files to myself and opened them on the phone. Then save to the gallery. Fobo found them easily enough.

I used Bob's red RT for my image on my Samsung Galaxy 5 Android phone (good job Bob!). Transferred image to the DCIM (camera) folder on the phone's hard-drive, not the DCIM folder external Micro-SD card (it will not transfer to the app if you send it there), and got the transparent background when I transferred it to the Fobo app. Once I had the photo, as a jpg file in the Fobo app, I had to hit the key "crop" for it to upload into the app, and it did flawlessly. Hope this helps anyone with an Android phone.
