• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyder Rt flood on cold start?

I have a 2010 Rt that started to act funny a week or so ago. I have 8800 miles on it, and if it sits for awhile it seems to flood on startup. You start it up, it runs rough won't rev, ( it runs like it is in limp mode ) if you put it in gear, the whole machine shakes and vibrates and sounds like it is falling apart! So you shut it back off, Hold the throttle wide open, crank it for a few seconds, then release the throttle, recrank and it will run fine. It did it when I started today, then we rode for 2 hours, we went into a place to eat, and when we came out it did it again. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

I'd suspect a bad spark plug or plug wire, but it normally wouldn't run better after the WOT restart. If it is repeatable, I'd let the dealer sort it out with the help of BRP. There are a lot of possibilities.

Sounds a whole lot like a bad throttle body or one that's going bad.
It very well could be bad plugs or plug wire too. Either way I would have your dealer look at it.

:agree: Throttle bodies, plugs and wires are always a good starting point when startups become too adventurous...
Good Luck and let us know what you find!

It may be a leaking fuel injector dumping raw fuel when it's parked. You could try some injector cleaner, see if that makes any difference.
