• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyder Rt comfort seat opinion ?

If you think a Comfort Seat is expensive you obviously have not looked at third party alternatives. Only your butt can tell you which seat is best.

I have the BRP Comfort seats on both my current RT's. At around $600 each, I found them to be good deals compared to others aftermarket seats. I have also used Corbins on two previous Spyders. Over 56,000 seat miles there. BRP Comfort is the seat we prefer.

CKirwin: What year is RT? I have a comfort seat off my 2011 RT that you can have at a good price. It's hardly used since I now have a 2016 RT-S.

I have the comfort seat on a 2016 RTL and really like it. Much better than the stock seat. The extra 2 inches or so you get makes a big difference. My wife and frequent passenger likes it better than the stock seat. She has never complained about the loss of a couple of inches from her seating area. I highly recommend the comfort seat.

Here's another endorsement of the Can-Am Comfort Seat. I purchased my 2018 RTL with the Comfort Seat, have since added the Can-Am Driver's Backrest, and am completely satisfied with both.

Thinking of buying a rt comfort seat, but way expensive. Looking for opinions please.

If you're looking for more leg room, the BRP comfort seat is the best option. I bought a used one off someone here for a lot less than new, even with shipping.

If you are looking for more comfort but not more room, get a gel foam kit from Motorcycle Dave.

:agree:If the extra space is not needed, Motorcycle Dave's get inserts are great. I put two in our seat and my wife and I are very happy with the results.

I have 61.5K on my Comfort Seat but, as I said, it's your butt that has to be satisfied. For those whose butts like it, it is a very reasonable price. JMO.

I am looking for a comfort seat for my 2016 RT-S, would the one off your 2011 RT-S fit?

If it's a seat OFF an RT, pre-2020, it'll fit ON any RT pre-2020!

Only difference being that the 2013 & earlier RT seats didn't come with the pre-cut driver's backrest hole & cover. :lecturef_smilie:

I have 2018 RTL. I tried stock seat, stock seat with Dave's gel inserts, Ultimate Tall Boy Seat, and Can Am Comfort Seat. Comfort Seat is my favorite.

Yes, I still have the comfort seat. This is for the pre-2013 Spyder RTs and does not have the hole for the backrest post or any hardware. It is in great shape since it was not used for very long.

Let me know if this is what you are looking for.
