Spyder RT & Cardo Scaler Q2 System

I am the happy owner of a 2010 RT Techno, updated from 2009 SE5 RS.
I am using the Cardo Scaler Q2 system mainly for its intercom functions from my RS model. I want to now make use of the RT Ipod player control system that is included in the new RT. Has any one had any success in using the Cardo Q2 unit in this way and if so what additional equipment is needed.

I have the Q2 and an RTS, from what I have read and tried the only way to hear the Ipod through the Q2 is hard wire.
