• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyder Rebates? How do they handle them?

So I bought my Spyder on 06/01/2013 and today I got a check from BRP for $650.00. I bought a New 2012 RS and I believe the rebates were up to $1000.00 at that time. My dealer told me the rebate was already figured into the purchase price. Needless to say, I got mine OTD at $13,598.00. Does BRP send you a live check for rebates? It is legit looking check along with coming from Canada. Can anybody help?

Since we weren't there when the papers were being signed... :dontknow:
But I'd throw it in the bank; if somebody asks for it back; at least it's safe!
:congrats: on a great price too!! :2thumbs:

I am most sure your rebate was calculated into the final price of your Spyder.

Mine was done in that manner. Dealer gets the check.

You should have checked your invoice to know the breakdown of your purchase price. Any rebate or discount on the machine will be listed there. Don't count on receiving a check would be my advice...

Besides... by applying the rebate to the purchase price on the invoice saves on state sales tax, if your state has sales tax. If so, in effect, you saved even more...

By looking at it, I signed no paper work stating anything about a dealer getting the check. I also don't see anything on my Bill of Sale where it says rebates. The bill of sale goes like this:

Base Price - 12,699
Total Cost - 12,699
Cost less Trade in - 12,699
Process Fee - 99.00
Sales Tax - 761.94
Fees - 38.50
Total - 13,598.44

.... What would you do?

Deposit it and see if it clears the banks. Then wait sixty days and spend it.

:agree: there's nothing in there mentioning a check having to be signed over to the dealer...
That's yours!!! :yes::ohyea::ohyea::yes:

it's part of BRP's promotion to cover your payments until labor day up to the amount of $650

If you assigned your rebate over to the dealer as part of your deal then you would have it mentioned in your deal. I would say that it is yours !
