• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyder rearended & burned

Sending my prayers to them and wishing them a full recovery. I hate to hear of motorcycle accidents it brings back painful memories, I was in one 1994 a drunk driver pulled out in
front of me and i flipped off of my bike. I had 8 hours of surgery 4 doctors operating on me. 50/50 chance of living thru the night. Since then i have had 16 reconstructive surgeries. Implants, titanium rods, screws, you name it. When the accident happen i was not wearing my helmet,But i was about to pull over to put it on. 2006 was when i got another bike and i always wear safety gear even if i ride a half a mile. For those of you that never wear helmets and safety gear, PLEASE START ! If not for yourself do it for your family, They would love to have you in this world a little bit longer. BE SAFE OUT THERE !!!!

:agree:

While we don't yet know for sure on this case, it is very likely. IMO texting while driving is posing a much greater danger than drinking due to the wider group that will potentially do it. I know for myself personally, my recent close calls have all been due to distracted drivers who were texting. I almost got hit head on the other day by a texting driver. I saw him coming halfway into my lane from a long way off. I got as far off the road as I could and he looked up and swerved back to his lane at the last minute. Dangerous stuff.

Regardless of the reason, prayers go the Tallmans.

We've had a number of people here in Maine killed, or killed someone else, but little is done to stop it. When the Legislatures are seen texting behind the wheel on the way to session you know nothing serious will be done.

Wishing them the best in recovering... but I really don't think they need a bunch of us calling and bothering them. I'm sure they're tired and need their energy for recovery.

Perhaps just one of us... someone who knows them... can be a point of contact between us Spyderlovers and them.

As far as texting and driving.... I see it all the time and it pisses me off. They could make phones so that you cannot text while in motion... but then passengers would be limited.

I'm sorry I wasn't able to get to this soon but our prayers are with them and we hope for a speedy recovery. As one who has been rear ended four times now I can say this messes with your head for a long time after.
