• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyder Re-Starting Issues

Have any of you experienced re-starting issues? My Spyder is fine on her first start. But, after I've ridden and parked, I frequently have re-start problems. I turn the key on, wait for the scrolling message, push the button, the temperature info comes up--and I hit the starter button. Nothing happens, the scrolling starts again.

I wait for the scroll to go across, push the M button again, holding it down, the system tweaks over, I push the starter button and oh heck I am still sitting there and Spyder doesn't start,

Yesterday I sat in a parking lot trying this for about 5 minutues, finally something happened and she started.

Has any one else experienced this? If so, what I am doing wrong--or is there something wrong with my Spyder.

Thanks--I am sure you all have better insights than my local dealership might.

The M Button on the dash tends to stick...Have you tried using the one on the left Handlebar? I have heard people having this same problem using the Dash Button

Definately try the handlebar (left) button. That dash one is a pain!
Also, it is not required that you wait for the scroll to finish. As soon as it starts you can push the mode switch.

Thank you both so much! This forum is the best! We just went for a nice Saturday afternoon ride in the TX Hill Country--me on Spyder and my husband on his FJR 1300. It was nice not being a slow starter

Yup - don't use the M button on the dash. Just a quick flick of the one on the handlebar. I had the same problems until I used the handlebar one!
