• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyder Ran Terribly

Put on a General Altimax and new rear wheel bearings- all is fine but next day the 2012 Rss-Se5 started to run really lousy. Cold start and die when put in gear-run very weak. As it warmed up it ran better but still sputtered and surged. Thought maybe water in gas. New gas and Heet did very little to help. Then read about the cracked hose on the MAPS- manifold air pressure sensor. It was very cracked and deteriorated. Taped with electrical and gorilla tape. Did the trick- runs fine. Did that on Sunday to save time. Changed to a new hose today. There are 2 hoses- calling them front and rear. Close together. The front was bad-1/64th inch inner diameter. The rear is Ok so left it alone. The rear is larger- 3/8ths or 5/16ths in. inner diameter and looks longer than the front. Amazing difference the little hose can cause. Easy change & thanks to all who posted about the problem. John

Let's see....

There should be two hoses the same lenth and diameter. You should replace both with silicone hoses cut to the same length. These will really make things run bad and changing one is not wise cause the other one is going to go as well. Silicone will last much longer....

Hoses

The hose I replaced was in worse shape than the pic-the other looks good. I will take another look for a hose with same size. Thanks.

I changed mine a while back with silicone hoses. Got a check engine light winds .off to dealer on Monday .they said it was the hoses have gotten very soft and collapsed .

Hose location ??

I'm new to the forum and just acquired a 2012 RT. I noticed the rough idle and the two codes which suggest cracked hoses. Where specifically are the hoses located and is there a tutoral on removing the side panels to gain access?
Sorry if this question has been asked before.
Jim

Hoses

On the 2012 RSS the hoses are behind the top left panel just forward of the seat. Easy to find attached to the throttle body about 4-5 inches long. Easy to find and replace. Check the owner's manual for RT panel removal. John
