spyder program cd for repairs & codes

Hello everybody

i was wanting to know if anybody would know if you can buy or download a CD so you can check your system after getting a code? so it won't hurt as bad when you make a repair instead of taking it to a shop and paying shop fees. also buying the wire to go from the laptop to the computer on the bike?

I am pretty sure no such item is available. The dealer has BUDS and that is necessary for the most current information.

You can't do that, because the Spyder is not OBD2 compliant...but you can use a manual procedure to extract the codes, then look them up in a shop manual or ask here. You cannot do some other tests or most adjustments without BUDS, however.
