There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I would have been there. I was on my way. But I made the mistake of shutting the bike off when I stopped at the ATM for some cash.
DESS ERROR
There's a separate post coming as soon as I calm down enough for it to not be just one expletive after another. BRP's roadside assistance is so incompetent I was stuck for 4 hours and they still couldn't figure out where I was and get someone dispatched. And I was less than 10 miles from home.
I may drive up in the car for dinner. We'll see.

Very true Mike. I'm well aware of that.
I was eventually helped by a kid on a bicycle who saw me waiting while on his way to work and saw me again on his way home from work and thought to stop and ask if I needed help. Turns out his buddy owns a towing company. The flatbed was there in 20 minutes.
The kicker to the whole thing is after we dragged the bike up the ramp, I turned the key on to set the parking brake. You can probably figure out what happened next.
Thinking about it last night, I wondered if I inadvertently parked in one of the electrically saturated zones that BRP likes to blame instead of their crappy engineering and supply chain management.
Shout out to spydaman60 who answered a text message with a phone call to see where I was and if I needed help.

What have we got in the planning stages?
Maybe we could do a three mountain ranges tour: Appalachian, Catskill, Adirondacks. I did it one day when I went out for a "short ride". Maybe a Lake Hop? I do like to ride ya know.

New Paltz Hostel Review
As I was talking at dinner, I was hoping the place I made reservations didn't turn out to be a half way house. The stay was great, especially considering the $30 price tag. Way above my expectations. I bunked with 4 other guys, all strangers. Facilities are clean, an old house that has charm (another way of saying it was not the Waldorf), folks are pretty friendly. mostly just hi and nods of the head. I would recommend if you are looking for cheap that doesn't involve a romantic getaway weekend this is the place. If ya wan't want weekend getaway try the Mohonk Mountain House and bring a couple of credit cards with ya.

I like New Paltz; but, Mohonk is way overpriced for their crappy food. I don't mind a high price for food, if it's excellent; Mohonk's food falls way short of the price tag. JMHO
