There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Spyder Parking Brake...How Do You Tighten the Cable?

Does anyone know how to tighten the parking cable for the Spyder? The cable came loose from driving away without lifting the parking brake and doesn't hold the Spyder in it's place anymore. It's even more crucial to have the parking brake on the SE5 since the gears don't actually hold the Spyder in place :(

On the right side of the swingarm, behind the muffler near the brake caliper, you will see two nuts on the threaded part of the cable housing. Adjust the cable toward the front of the Spyder to remove slack, as needed. If you can't get enough adjustment, you will need to remove the large nut on the actuator arm and rotate the arm a spline or two to get more leverage. Parking brake should grab in about two clicks if adjusted properly.

Really? Mine is adjusted all the way and for it to hold, I need to ratchet that sucker all the way down or it will roll. At least 12 clicks, I d guess.

Looks like I need to take the arm off and move it. I ve had trouble with the brake ratchet catching since day 1. The dealer worked on it when I was there, but its back to its original antics again.

It may be hitting bottom at the cable housing, which will cause sticking. Check the rubber cable boot with the brake on, and if it is compressed, it can be causing your proble. Some even get inverted and stay there. If the brake still sticks after it is adjusted properly, spray the mechanism behind the pedal bracket liberally with WD-40 or a dry Teflon spray lube. That usually cures it.
