• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Spyder on the track at Pocono Raceway

I did an autism ride this past Sunday. Very Neat. We rode a little over 90 miles to get to the race track. Then we were able to get on to the track for three laps.

There was over 530 bikes on the ride. Luckly they split the group in half to go on the track but there was still to many out there to go as fast as I wanted. But I was still able to get it up to 104. I wanted to go so much higher. O well there is always next year.

Here is a video of the track ride. The video was shot with my new Contour HD Camera. Enjoy...

We were there just last month... :2thumbs:

GREAT video! That straightaway is just the place to "twist and shout" with the loud grip.

It was like I was there. Great stuff. I would like to know more about your camera. Could you post or send me the info? I have several questions, like how do you download it to get in on our web site once you take the video? Could you download it to an email and send to friends...etc Thanks.

Excellent. If I didn't already have a gopro, I'd surely buy the Contour HD.

Good selection of music for your run.

The contour hd camera is a awsome camera. The one I got shoots in full hd 1080p. The battery last for about 3 hours but you can buy extra batters for about $25 if you on an extended ride. As for the memory it records onto a micro sd card. I have a 16 gig class 10 card and have plenty of room to do atleast 5 hours worth of the 1080p recording.

Go on youtube.com and type in contour hd camera to view some other videos and reviews. Keep in mind if you watch these videos most of them defult to a lower setting other then 1080. So in the bottom right corner of the video screen you will see most times "360" click on that and slect either 720 or 1080 depending on your internet speed. That will give you a true clarity comparrison.

Just playing around with this video I made a dvd and played it on my 55 in lcd tv at home and it looks professional quality.

I purchased mine on amazon.com for $139 and I bought a waterproof case for $28 and the 16 gig class 10 card for $28. So all together it was under $200 shipped or something like that.

thanks now i know what :yikes: it looks like at 102,which with out me being on my owen spyder,i felt like i was on the bike and i dont know where you were .thanks i loved the ride.:thumbup:

That was a great video. I got to ride must faster than I normally do. I wonder what the others thought about being passed by a :spyder2: as you were working your way to the front of the pack.

Thank you for sharing a once in a lifetime experience with us.

As an afterthought: An item of concern for me: Surprised to see a passenger riding with shorts and a tee shirt and apparantly no protective gear other than a helmet. Suprised they allowed that--especially with a pack of over 200 bikes at a time, riders unfamaliar with the course, and riding in close quarters at speeds up to 100 mph. The slow down at the end seemed to come quick--hope everyone was all right.

Thank you for posting this, and I sure wish I could do something like it. It is a win/win ryde, raise money for a charity and have fun at the same time. Loved the way you moved from so far back to almost first place. All you would have needed was another few feet of track and you would have won. You now have to change your handle to Speed Racer :roflblack: What amazed me was that so many bikes, the plan to go so fast, and how so many had on only t-shirts.

Next year when I go. I'm gonna hang way back at the start let most of the bikes get about 2 miles into the lap then take off like a bat out of hell. If anybody would like to join me next year that would be great. There were three other spyders there not sure who they are. I couldn't find them off the track way to many bikes.

looked like a great time, and for a good cause. Loved to see the spyder passing the others. All you needed was one more lap!!!
