• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

The Host Hotel is booked up. Please call the Best Western Plus in Gray Louisiana 985-580-4300. Tell them you are with the Spyder on the Bayou Event.

If you have never been there you need to go. Just to say you have been there. It is always the city they talk about when a hurricane is going thru. We will get you there if you want to go.

We've never been there before and were curious about it. Is it worth the ride?

I used to live in LaRose and have made my fair amount of trips to Grand Isle.
It is NOTHING like Galveston, lets start there. There is no downtown to see and not many photo ops at all. There's no seawall of any-kind and the only public access onto the beach is through the state park which you have to pay to get into.
Grand Isle is more Camps and fishing than anything else.
It would be one of those things to see if you're already in the area, maybe, but I would be inclined even less to go now that the only way to get there is via the toll road they put in.

In my truthful opinion, its not worth the gas to go down there.

Edit: PS...check out google street view for an idea of how it looks. Pretty much exactly as I remember it.

Reservations made! Roadster Renovations will be there! Stop by our table and see the mods we offer actually on and functioning on our bike! Wife is looking for some good Cajun cooking!! And, it's a Holiday Inn Express! They have that magic machine that makes pancakes to order!! Woo! Hoo!

Hear about Grand Isle here over too when a hurricane goes through. Thought there might be more to the Isle.

We can ride down before or after the event, no worries...
