• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Camping on the Bayou

So, for this Spyder meet, anyone have any sage advice on good spots to camp?

Jackie and I plan on attending, pulling a new-to-us Timeout trailer. Somehow, laying around a Spanish-moss covered cypress-surrounded lagoon has more appeal than (another) motel room. Not that there's anything wrong with motels, but, you know, alligator grunts in the night and all that.....................

We will have all of our normal farkles for sale and install with few new items added for 2016!

Dang, I almost missed this.

We've been to the last three and sure do want to make the next one. Will try to book hotel in Raceland, but last year we did stay at the Bestwestern Plus in Houma at 90/24 and that was a really nice place to stay and it really is only about 10 minutes away from Raceland.

Spyders on the Bayou

If you weren't able to get a room at the host hotel try the Best Western in Gray or google hotels in the Raceland area. The Heart of Dixie Spyder Ryders so far have 27 people going from Alabama. This will be our 4th year going to this event and we love it. Great FOOD, Great People and Great Rides in the local area.

If you haven't found a good campground yet, try Bayou Segnette Sate Park. We stayed there last year in a Bunkhouse popup and will be there again this year. It's a real clean park with clean showers and no alligators'.
