• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyder on fire?

My clamp/hose to my gas filter has come loose twice now, so much so I had to replace the clamp. I noticed gas had been leaking underneath on start up only. I was told because of the high pressure on start-up this hose/clamp can come loose.
The gas comes out by the gas filter and runs down the hose to the bottom, this is where I noticed my leaks.
Replaced the clamp, so far, no leaks.

I agree with you on your points but I'm sending you a dictionary! :yikes::D

I'm sending you this one:

We were commenting in Chicago that the fires happened all about the same time and then just kind of stopped...... strange.

We still don't know what the issue was-- only some good guesses....

Some of you probably remember when I had a fire on an 08 SM5 last year. Well I would suggest to all... check up under the instrument cluster next time you have the side and top tupper ware covers off. The reason I had the fire was due to the fact there was a white terry cloth left under the the plastic that surrounds the cluster. The cloth fell down on the front cylinder exhaust line and started to burn.

Fortunately I stopped near house that had a water cooler laying in the front yard that had water in it. I poured the water on the fire and put it out. Only damage other than some smoke was to my nervous system.

So inspect anyplace where a cloth could have been left by a service facility. Ken krb1945
