There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Very cool!

I'll be wearing a full face helmet. I doubt something like that would work for me, though.

This thing can go way loud. On long trips with the Harley I was wearing a 3/4 helmet and I could hear it and that was with obnoxiously loud V&H pipes.

Hubby is out on it now riding around. I just woke up LOL! Not an early riser like he is!

We use our Starcom 1 intercom in that case. Plug the MP3 player into the intercom, and plug in the helmet speakers/mike. Tunes as you ride, with voice activated cutoff, so it doesn't interfere with conversation. Second unit on order for the Spyder soon, along with GMRS/FRS radios, so we can talk bike-to-bike. Having your music makes the miles fly by!

Adding tunes to mine this winter is a def mod with waterproof speakers. This is going to be a year round rider so I want to make it as comfortable and convenient to ride a possible

Sorry for the thread hijack Smylinacha.

Scotty, how do you like the Starcom? Does the voice activation work for GMRS/FRS radio communication also? Our J&M Integratr only has VOX for rider - pillion intercom.

Love the Starcom! We have had it two or three years now. Better than the Audiovox, IMO. Superb noise cancellation and VOX control. Still questions to be answered on the radio part. We have never tried it riding two up, as we have ridden until now. They have a specific list of US radios that will work, and that they have cables for, but none seem to be readily available. All superceded. They can't sell radios to the US. VOX is supposed to work with the radio too, just like the cell phone does, but I need to ask some questions, like can I get VOX activated transmission, or kill the music only, and do I need certain radio models to do it if I can. They were very good answering my emails previously, so I will write this week.

Yup, we do the same thing when we use the Chatterboxes for long hauls!

these are waterproof - used to be two wheel tunes and they are sold by cyclesounds. Now my hubby has these marine speakers on his and I wouldn't mind adding some of those to the back end - gotta research that one a little - they are cool - flush and fit right in. I'm just gonna be one human boom box when I'm done LOL!
