2011: :dontknow: RS-"Diet" with a smaller engine (660 cc) and priced under 10K, or a Super Spyder V4 (like the Aprillia RSV4)?

I have NEVER seen BRP go to smaller engines but a 750-800 cc that gets 40-45 mpg and is less expensive might get some action!
My bet is MORE convenience items and a Hard Core more powerful Sport model?:dontknow:
I'm not sure a 750 would get any better MPG. You're pushing the same brick down the road with the same wind resistance......the 750 will just have to work harder at it.
I think it would be silly to go smaller.
:agree: Unless the Spyder sees a wind tunnel, and hides some of the suspension under aerodynamic wraps, it has the wind resistance of a 4' x'4' brick. Takes a lot of horsepower to move a gigantic brick...especially at the speeds Doc rides.I'm not sure a 750 would get any better MPG. I would not expect a new, major model until at least 2012...and maybe not even then, unless the economy and sales pick up.
