• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

You can if you are really careful. Search the board for the words key and drill.

But, why do it? The key comes with a very safe holder that does mount to wherever you keep your keys. You pull the key out of it and use it and put it back in the holder. This way you are not having all the crappe on your keychain banging around on the top of the keyhole scratching and damaging everything when on rough roads. Also, more to lose when banging on down the road -- whereas the key will stay in the ignition switch with no issue.

can i drill a hole or not? thanks. Canchess

oohhh! lol is that what that key thing is??!!!hahah cool, thank you . solved my issue very nicely
sincerely, Canchess

Don't be too hard on yourself. Lots of others have asked the same question for the same reason. My dealer showed us at the time of delivery. They all should do that. BTW, be sure and plug the key in until it "clicks" noticeably, otherwise it can fall out.

Speaking as a person who lost one of the two key sleaves...be sure and hang on to it. Cost me $18 to get a replacement....

Totally agree...never an issue with the key coming out...

I did mine like this.
I dont trust the plastic clippy thing.

Don't like that...with things dangling all over the place while I'd be riding...I just take the key out of the sleeve and put the sleeve in my tank bag...done...the sleeve is not going to let go of your key anyway...it's in there pretty darn tight...

I am not careful with anything and that is my picture, there are 4 things on that, house the elevator key so I can go to work, a buckle up to save lives lanyard for grabbing and my spyder key.

IT KEYS!!, there is a maybe a chip in there but not up around the hard plastic.

Don't get me wrong it will scratch you giant piece of metal that is on your handle bars if you have it like mine.

The reason I did this is when you are in a wheelchair and drop stuff its hard to pick it up if it just a key, plus who the hell just carries their keys on one ring and everything else on the other?

I mean the last thing I want IMO is to be digging for my other keys or drop them and not know it. This is more of an issue for those of us who can't feel in areas they drop stuff.

Again this is more of an issue for me because of my physical situation. But bad keys have been on here without putting holes in them.
