There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Spyder is hot after riding and shutting down

Hello, I have a 2014 RTl and this just stated happening. If I ride anywhere (enough to make the fans come on) when I shut down the spyder and get gas, or a drink when I turn it back on it gets hot enough to make the temp light come on. (The Fans are running) Drive a block and everything is back to normal. Any Ideas

Little checking.....

If you shut her down with the fans running it will tend to go up in temp if started shortly there after. Once the fans run for a bit it shiuld ccome down to normal. Now that the weather is getting warmer it will take longer for the cooling down. But check fluid levels and age of coolant.

In addition to the comments from others, how many miles on your Spyder? If more than 28K, when was the last time you had the coolant changed? When was the last time you checked the coolant level?

Definitely check the radiators for clogging with leaves and other debris. Cooling system is full? Try not to park in the sun (not sure where you live). Makes a difference here in the desert. If everything checks okay, you might consider the 2013 air scoop retrofit kit.

Thanks for all the responses. I have 35k and it was checked and changed at 28000. It just stared on the last trip I took to Canada prior to that no problems. Today I drove 11 miles to lunch... it is 91 degrees..I shut the bike down, (fans were not running at that time) had lunch... 45 min, went back out and started it up, instantly the fans come on and the digital display shows 3 bars below the top. Drove just to get out of the parking lot and it was all back to normal... fans shut off... Just a bit weird... Just cleaned the radiators with a power washer (from the back side) yesterday.

This. Clean the radiator fins and make sure you have the coolant full before you waste your time doing anything else.

Do you also have a temp gauge ? If so, what is it showing when the light lites up ??

hey kidd

from your post it really sounds like you are low on fluids , but if it was that low the warning light would have kicked in I would say , give it another couple days and short runs , let us know what those out comes are , ( could be water pump , could be just a fluke as why it started )
