Had a great time with some old friends in Maggie Valley this weekend. These are guys and gals that I've known from way back when from our Valkyrie club. Most of us have moved on to other bikes now but our friendship is still strong. We meet every year and it's always a good time.
The Spyder was a hit this year and I wouldn't be surprised if this was a Spyder rally next year.
I let whoever wanted to ride it take a spin around the area. I wasn't sure if some of them were ever going to come back :dontknow: but they all had a good time and I was glad to share my new toy with some good friends.
As alway there was a crowd around the Spyder at all times. One of my buddies said he couldn't get turned around because he was being stopped by folks wanting to know all about it.
There were a couple of folks that even pulled into the parking lot just to get a closer look. This little gal was so cute I could hardly take it.

The ladies really took to it but there were a couple of the guys that looked at it real close too. :doorag:

This is my friend PIBIT. This guy is a real rider, he comes down to just aboat
any event we have all the way from Canada. I've know him since 2000 when we met at a Custom Valkyrie Bike show in Asheville. He still has his Valk but he said his Harley came with the girl so he couldn't pass it up. :congrats:

I wasn't feeling that great this morning so I took a nice easy ride though a section of the Blue Ridge Parkway that I hadn't been on before. It dropped me down on to 441 and that will lead you right into Gatlinburg where the Spyder Rally will be. It was a nice easy day and I did about 160 miles or so. :doorag:

For some reason I just had to stop and take a picture of this sign. :yikes:

By the way I guess I put on about 500 miles this weekend and I love my new risers and the Ride-On stuff seems to be doing it's trick. I have very little vibration now in the bars and my hands never did go numb and my shoulder didn't bother me at all. I think I'm just about ready for my long trip next week. :doorag:
I hope some of my BigBikeRider friends will login here and tell their stories and maybe post some pics. :chat: I guess I had a good group of Police around the Spyder while I was in my room. I think they liked it. :2thumbs::spyder:
