There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Spyder Hater at the bike show

Old man's bike

That lady must belong to the 1% Wrong Club. All the young kids in my neighborhood love mine. That lady probably rides the 50cc Yamaha Razz---commonly used as a track bike to ride from one end to the other to bring a wrench--my Razz tops out at 28 mph--one time I think it hit 29 mph--big tail wind:bowdown: There is an easy modification that will allow it to hit 31 mph---but I'm too scared. It's available for sale---$225 not too pretty--missing plastic turn signal lamp covers--but it runs well--located in Westerville-Ohio. I never burned rubber with it :-)

Yep, Old folks

Guess that's why while waiting for a bunch of grade school kids to cross, I got 'several' thumbs up and a couple of 3 fingers! Good to see they are growing up right

On a long road trip I pulled into a Jack In The Box to rest and get something to eat. Going inside I noticed 3 young boys (probably 9-13 years old) sitting in a window seat eating. Turns out they were brothers. They were looking at my Spyder and I could tell they really liked it. I sat down and ate my meal. The boys were still there as I got ready to leave. They were sitting near the door where I emptied the trash from my tray and I could tell they wanted to ask me about the Spyder.

It doesn't matter to me and I wouldn't even mention it except that it has bearing on the story. These boys were black. And this Jack In The Box is located in a black neighborhood. So when I turned and asked these boys if they would like to sit on my Spyder I could tell they were surprised that I would talk to them. A shame isn't it?

The first thing out of the oldest boys mount was a polite 'No'. But the other 2 boys kind of glared at him so I asked again if they were sure. The middle boy said he would like to at least look at it close up. So we all went outside and took a look at my Spyder together. They warmed up to the whole thing and after asking some questions the youngest boy asked if he could sit on it. The oldest brother told him 'No, that's not a good idea'. And I told him that he should listen to his older brother but that as far as I was concerned, it was fine with me.

The older brother said, 'OK' and the young one climbed aboard. We had a great time and we were the best of buds as I finally drove away. I don't think I'll ever forget that few minutes. I wonder if they will. It was a good day.

My Grandson just turned 1 on Monday, so he needs to be a bit older, yet..... The day will come if grandpa hangs on. Grandma does not ride, no license.

Old and Riding

Last month I went to the Progressive MC show. I was looking at the new Spyders when I noticed a boy climbing up a F3. His mother grabbed him by the arm and pulled him off saying, "That's for old people!". I thought, "Jeeze, haters will hate, and pass it on to the next generation".

It is great to have reached 70 and still have the desire and ability to ride. Did trade in my BMW R1200 on my 15 F3-S. As my wife said, "it will extend my riding time...
