• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyder Harley

While still "fighting" to put the 4" NM riser on (Reverse Gear), I ran across some old parts from a Harley I owned years ago. It was a gas cap with a Spider engraved in it. I tried it and it works perfect, so now I have a Harley Spyder. Well sort of?:dontknow:

had no problems installing risers and i did mine in a dark cold garage in the middle of the night with spot lights on and an electric heater.... took about 2 hours ... you must be trying to do something that is wrong...
but the gas cap sounds cool too bad it's under seat:coffee:

I definitely am not a mechanic, but I did install the back rest and passenger footpegs. My problem is on the clutch side (SM5) 2009. In Lamonster's install, it sounded simple. The problem I am having now is with the reverse. Everytime I try to put the lever in, the cable end keeps popping out.La monster also mentioned something about a slot in the bar to locate the control housing. I see a slit, but cannot see what it does. I am at the point now where I don't even remember if the clutch lever goes on 1st or the reverse gear setup. HELP!!!

the notch needs to be in front if you put the two pieces of the controles together and leave them loose and turn the new handle bar end forward or back you will feel the controle click into the notch in the bar

I posted in another location, but thanks to all of you supportive people it is on and working. I now needed hand grips since I had to cut off one of the old ones. I looked at Dennis Kirk and JP Cycles as someone suggested, but did not find anything. I ran across Hoprodox while browsing and had never heard of before and found a set with spider web markings on them. Expensive, but am getting used to this, so ordered a set.
