• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyder goes Boom.

Well, I waited and it looks like I will have to wait some more. I called the dealer and they said that BRP did not ship the clutch plate. It should ship today or Monday so it looks like another week without the Spyder. I am not very happy. I find it hard to believe that parts are so hard to get.

Called the dealer today and still no clutch plates. They told me that BRP said there was a delay in shipping but could not tell them what the delay was. It will be three weeks on Saturday.

Called BRP, customer service said they could not do anything for me except document the problem and give me a reference number to give to the dealer. They did say that they would give the dealer $175.00 a day to pay for a loaner but it has a three day limit. There is only one dealer on the planet that I know of the rents Spyders and they are in California. Not much help there.

This whole ordeal has been very disheartening. I just want my ride back. If I had the specs, I could have had a machine shop build the parts by now.

Well… that’s the tale so far. I guess I should have called BRP sooner but who knew it would turn out like this.

Hopefully this is my second to last post on this thread. I stopped by the dealer yesterday and was told that the clutch plates shipped last Friday. So if everything works out, I should have my Spyder back tomorrow night. I'll let you all know.

This will be my last post on this thread. My Spyder is back home. 28 days in the shop... but a lot of the frustration melted away as soon as I pulled out of the dealer parking lot. Hopefully the future is smooth riding.
