• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyder from Space

Google Maps is recently updated in San Antonio. The current aerial shots are from sometime between Nov 09 and Feb 10, and I can see my former 2008 RS in its outdoor cover. Anybody else find their Spyder in aerial photography?

Here's mine at work. If the photo don't show up, its at 34(degrees)53'43.76"N
117(degrees)03'40.74"W

If you zoom up close you can see the red from the bike on the ground. Don't know why.

Yeah, I guess when you live where you can ride year-round, you tend to take the moments for granted. Honestly, though, I was on a TDY trip for the Army and wanted to see if I could show my replacement something about Fort Sam Houston. The Spyder shape just caught my eye.

A real EagleEye should be able to spot a Spyder on Google Maps while its moving. Perhaps a prize from ESI for the 1st person to do that?

Given that I've only seen a half dozen or so Spyders (other than at planned gatherings) in the past year, that'd be a real challenge - a literal needle in a haystack!

Where I live in northern NH, Google (or their sat source) do not provide enough resolution to even make out my house.
