• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyder fixed!

Bought my Spyder pre-owned and it had 1776 miles on it when I got it.

Well, that air bag in the rear would never hold air. As suggested, I changed out the scrader core and that didn't work. Also, the radio started going on the fritz last month and just died. It would show the display but there was no sound.

I was also having front end shake. There was more shakin' going on before I had added some Ride On to the front tires. Then, it has only been at 48-60mph.

The dealer replaced the RTS Air Dampener Kit, Assemble Radio, iPod Connector and Antenna Cable under the B.E.S.T. Warranty. There was a $50 deductible I got to pay.
They told me that it was the Ride On that was causing the imbalance in the front tires. Yea, whatever. They were worse before I put that in there, which I told them when I dropped it this past Monday.

Now, I get to fix the trunk lid because it won't latch. :banghead:
They must have gone thru there to replace the radio componets.

I'm just glad to have it back.

When I put Ride On in my original set, I left the balance weights on the wheels, which had always vibrated. It was much much better, but still had occassional vibs. I took the weights off and it got better, but still not right. There were like 12 weights on one front and 5 on the other. I finally took it to my tire folks for the cars and they balanced the front with the ride on in them and they are absolutely perfect. $20 and they guessed that the huge difference in weights in the two fronts was not correct and now I'm all set. I recently got different wheels, RSS new take offs, left the weights on, added ride on and they are perfect. Just like before the ride on. That is great stuff and will probably be "useful" if I ever pick up a nail, etc in a tire. I hd 9 nails in a HD wheel once, all in a belt from an air gun. Tire stayed up, but still had to be replaced, a week or so later.
Good luck with the vibes, but a lot of tire places can rebalance in a few minutes and it sure worked for me.:firstplace:

......and your tire folks are who?

I spent about a hour working on the trunk lid to get it to latch. Took off the rear Tupperware panel to see the latching mechanism. Got it to work. Put panel back on. (no screws) Not working again, remove panel again. Removed latching mechanism and played with it see how it works. Put some aircraft lubricant on it. Re-installed. Put panel back on making sure release cable wasn't binding. Checked several times to make sure it was working before installing the screws. All back together and still working.
Works now....like it was before I left it at the dealer. Now I'm wondering where I send the bill to? :roflblack:

They are just west of the intersection of GA 20 (west side of Canton) and GA 5. There is a NAPA next to them. Address is 115 Ridgewood Road (&GA 20, Knox Bridge Road.) 770-479-6556. M-F 8 to 6. Sat 8-12.

I drove my Spyder up, they took the wheels off, had it done in 10 minutes.

Great folks.:firstplace:

Thanks Tuck!

Wow! What a difference that air shock makes when it's working. No sore butt today.
And the new radio they put in...what a difference in sound! I bet it's going to make the XM sound better too. With the new cable, maybe I can figure out the iPod?

When returning home today from the Glock Match, I saw a Yellow Spyder RT on GA Hwy 20 heading South. It was so beautiful....yellow!

Got the bad news that my shock replacement is NOT covered by the BEST warranty. I had mentioned it needed looking at when I had my 6000 mile check up but the dealer said that wasn't part of the check up. It was still under the two year warranty at that time. So, delaying is now going to cost me over $300 to replace the original defective rear air shock. :banghead:Bummer!

JMHO, But I think your dealer is giving you the SHAFT. You requested it to be looked at and they refused....and now they are willing to fix it for MONEY...that's plain BS in my book......I had a dealer screw me over and now two years later he is still wondering why all his luck is BAD.....OH MY!!!!!! I wonder why ????? I learned a long time be very very careful who you screw over .......Mike.:shemademe_smilie:..and I love my Spyder, and BRP

The work was done week before last. They turned it in to BRP and BRP said they wouldn't cover it under the BEST warranty.
