Any news where Spyderfest will be held yet? There is a bunch of people that have to schedule vacation at their work place at this time for next year. Need to make arangements to stay some place also.

There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

:agree: and that would be 995 too many. The important part has been told (dates), so we just need to wait until the Spyderfest committee lets us know. I am sure they know what they are doing.

An announcement will be forthcoming very soon. There is a lot going on behind the scenes that has to be tied up before we can give any info. Such as, special rates on hotels and camping in the general area for SF 2013 attendees. I know that everyone is going crazy with not knowing where it is. Welcome to our world, LOL. We try to make this the absolute, best Spyder event in the country. Now that it's gotten so large, it takes a little more time and work to put it on.
The best that I can say is to make sure that you have those dates for SF 2013 off of work. Stay tuned and Merry Christmas!

Cuba would be the preferred venue in my opinion. Small town atmosphere. History. Great roads. And very little traffic to compete with. The people are great, everywhere you go.
Don't let the fact that all the hotels in Cuba are booked fool you into believing SpyderFest 2013 will be held there though. Most people in attendance at SpyderFest 2012 reserved their rooms last year before leaving Cuba, anticipating it would remain there.
We'll just have to wait and see what's in store for us next year. Things have been getting bigger, if not better, since the first SpyderFest in 2010.
