• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I would like to go but i'am healed up as much as i'am going to be and so i'am trying to find a job, not easy, my old one does not exitist anymore? So i wont have anytime to take off when i find one.:(

I am glad to hear that you are healed up, but very sorry to hear about the job situation. Hopefully things will come together for you very soon, and perhaps you will find a job with benefits that would let you have a few days off in April. I wouldn't give up hope just yet, as it is still 4 months away.

I wish you the best in your job search, and continued healing process as well.

I won't be going either. I'm not sure if we will ever do overnight trips as we have to arrange someone for our dogs if we're gone. I guess I could do these trips on my own. I need more confidence to do that.

This year, I just want to get back to ryding the Spyder locally for day trips. I took a year off from ryding. Lots of health things to deal with. New hip coming along fine.

Wishing safe travels to all who will be on the road attending Spyder events this year!!!

There are Dog Trailer available of which can be pulled behind the spyder... Some Motels allow pets, etc.

Glad you are getting better and well... and one thing for sure, a little day trip or two towards Cuba, Mo will do wonders.

For the benefit of those who can't attend, how about a live videocam that's moved to each of the major venues during Spyderfest?
There's got to be some smart technical person on SpyderLovers who knows how to make that happen.

Gary I love that idea, it brings the party to everyone one. I have a few friend I can contact about this....not sure if we can make it happen or not but willing to try! Anyone want to help head this, up or have contact info please feel free to jump in and give us a hand. This could be like Sturgis street cams, but all done by spyderlovers!

We won't be there, either. The date collides with the mini-rally our BMW club puts on. We have to work at the rally.

Sorry to here about your situation friend. Wish I could help you out:(. Hey for every cloud there is a silver lining.

Too early to say

We want to be there....It's......4 months away... Make it a definite maybe!!!! Len & Kim

We won't be able to attend either. I used up what little time off I had dealing with my family trajedy. My Boss was very understanding during that hole mess so I sure don't want to push it. Besides, I have to start from an actual negative balance to get some time off again.

So we won't be going anywhere any time soon! Such is life. Y'all have a good time out there.

Thank you everyone their is always hope! So maybe their is still a chance if not that live webcam idea sounds cool.

Gordy;
I towed my camper behind my RTS down there last year. There is a campground about 1/4 mile from Cowtown. I didn't camp because the first night they were calling for thunderstorms and I "wimped out". After the first night I just stayed at the motel. The weather, temperaure wise, isn"t bad at all. I don' recall the name of the campground but know that it is listed on the lodging post.

No can do this year~ heading to TN this summer for a week. Hope the job hunt goes well for you, and glad to hear your healing up. Keep your chin up, know a job will find you shortly!

I am undicided, dog problem also but I'm looking for a trailer for the :spyder2: and that way I could bring the wife and dog along in the truck. I also need to check on pet friendly motels in the area. Wish me luck.

Roger,

How long do you figure the trip out would be, if you did go. I am still undecided; I live in Syracuse.

Roger and I have talked about going out and I have looked into the trip and it is about 18 hours by interstate. My thought was to take the toy hauler with two or three and drive straight through. I'm up in the air also.

I won't be able to get to it either... It conflicts with the NRA convention, which is in Pittsburgh this year.
Now if I can just convince the Missus to let me ride the Spyder to it... :D
