Great news!

We're ready to go ahead with offering this tour of the Spyder factory and the J. Armand Bombardier museum.

We're thrilled at the response we've gotten so far, and it seems that the two dates that work best for most folks are Friday June 6th and Monday June 9th.

Both a tour of the factory and a visit to the museum are included in the morning activities, as well as lunch on both days. We are also happy to confirm that we've obtained a special rate at the Delta Sherbrooke hotel which is approximately 25 miles from our factory. Be sure to ask for the BRP rate, which is $117 CAD + taxes per night which includes complimentary, secure and covered parking for your Spyder. Please visit their website for more details about the hotel.

If you prefer alternate accommodations, there is a variety of lodging options and prices in Sherbrooke, Magog and Bromont, all of which are about a 30 minute ride to Valcourt.
If you'd like to attend, please send an email to [email protected] with the following information:

  • Your name (names if riding two-up!)
  • Your phone number
  • Your email address
  • Your preferred tour morning (Friday June 6th or Monday June 9th)
  • Whether you'll be obtaining overnight lodging in the area
Again, we're very excited at the prospect of opening our doors to you and sharing our common passion!

Hi Steve,
Thanks for pulling this together!
Question: How long will the events take for each day? I'm considering leaving VERY early from home, and then coming back home after the festivities end...
Can you tell us when and where, we would all need to meet?
Thanks again!

Nice!

That's a great idea and hope it continues on a regular basis. Too far for me this time! I would hope to see pictures from the event!

Glad for all those who can attend and appreciate BRP setting this up! Nice job! I worked for a large company and we did tours as well. People really appreciate that! :D

July Spyderfest Magog

Me, too! Can't go this year, though.

The factory and museum tours should both be done in time for lunch. Exact times and places to meet will be decided soon, but it will likely be early morning both days at either the plant or the museum.

Right now we're focusing on this June tour, but we're not against the idea of repeating it if the demand is there and the timing works out.

I'm at about a seven hour run to get there... Should be no problem to knock both directions off in one day...

We went to Valcourt on a side trip from a New England vacation. We toured the museum and was very disappointed we couldn't see the assembly plant.
There should be an on going tour of the plant that you can reserve like is available at Harley Davidson plants here in the US.
The museum your was great!

Hey, Tango Tom! :D
Are you interested in an early Friday morning run up the Northway? :dontknow:

Bob I'm thinking about a Thursday ride up. This way We will be fresh for the days festivities. Now, I may solo it up there or meet up with Mike (mob133) from the Philly area. A lot depends on if my wife gets her passport back from renewal. :banghead: This was a last minute put together trip, so we were unprepared. She says for me to go even if it's solo. If the hotel books up we found a Comfort Suites not far from the factory, about 45 minutes away. She already mapped out a route for us: 209 N to Kingston; Thruway N; then Northway N.. We will see. Tom :trike:

Passports...
Do we need to have one, in order to cross into Canada, or are there alternative types of paperwork available??

Right, an enhanced license is all you need to drive into Canada or Mexico. If you fly in you need a passport. You can get an enhanced license at the DMV pretty easily (at least you can in VT).

I'm about 90-120 minutes from Valcourt. I pinged BRP about the tour on Friday. I haven't heard back but if it all works out I will see some of you there.
