Thanks for this post,as a brand new F3 Owner I was just looking up the battery location so I can hook up my battery tender.

batt. tender

The batt. tender I bought Schumacher SPF3 came with a cigarette lighter style plug, so I bought a marine grade 12 volt socket with 5'
leads. I then left the socket floating under the right access panel and fished the leads down to the battery.
Now when I'm through riding I can just remove the right access panel and plug in the battery tender.
It also serves as a place to plug in my generic GPS, when I need it.
