• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyder edition numbers

ok so if my last four of my vin is 0562 it just means the number it was for the year?

Mine is a 2008. So not PE for me eh?

It's not quite that simple. There were several variations of each basic model. Say your VIN number ended with A198V######. A19 is the basic year and model desgnation. The 8 represents an "H", so this was the A19H group. The numbers following are sequential in that group. Another production group might be the A18J group, etc. Each group may have the same ending sequence, but the VIN# altogether is different. There are also letters and numbers to indicate information like which plant a vehicle was built in, and basic equipment as produced. I do not have the breakdown for interpreting the Can-Am VIN#s. There is no good way to tell from the last few digits exactly where your Spyder actually was in the entire production run. It makes no difference. Jay Leno got #1, and that's all that matters. The rest of us are just along for the ride.
