• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyder edition numbers

I GOT SQUAT!!

I have # 1089 that I got back in Feb. 08 and I didn't get SQUAT! I bugged my "local" dealer who is 6 hours from me and I bugged the :cus: outta BRP. I didn't get a jacket or a pin or a map, hell I was lucky it had all 3 tires and a key. I'm still not too happy about the whole thing but not much I can do about it now. Keep 'em on the pavement.

You got a great bike with a number...the most important thing is that you ride (ryde) it for years safely...the jacket, pin, etc...that doesn't make for a better or safer or more fun ryde...

Heck I didn't even pay any attention to mine being a PE. They had it sitting on the dealer floor and I bought it, I still can't tell you the number without going out and looking. I would never by a bike because I thought it would hold more value if it was a limited production. I buy mine to ride and ride them I do, I don't see high mileage bikes holding value.

:agree: Only one person has ever noticed it or asked what it meant.

You likely got a spyder ryder pin...not a PE pin...I believe those were different...

You also should've gotten a card...not sure if the PE were different with that too...

I don't care if my bike is PE or not...they don't sell for more and they have all the original problems...sometimes it's better to wait a bit anyway...gives BRP time to fix early production run errors...

There are always PEs on ebay...I bought mine new but I could've gotten many a PE cheaper...I don't think the PE stigma is worth much, IMHO...

You can check on Ebay yourself...when you see a PE, it sells for the same as any of the other Spyders...

I have # 294, got no pin, no card and a jacket i never use.
Love the Spyder though
Can I trade all those in for a rear tire I need after 13,000?

That'd be nice...I'm sure...how about for brakes that don't squeak?

I love my Spyder too...even though it's not a PE...
