• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

spyder dealers on gps (problem)

Someone awhile ago sent me the spyderdealer files as a gpi file. My Garmin 765T gps crashed last week from being in the rain while it was on. It is being sent back to Garmin for out of warranty repair and I will not be receiving the same gps back. I pulled off the file called 'GARMIN' and placed it on my PC.

I looked today and found what appear to be the spyderdealers. Here's how I got to the list:

Clicked GARMIN folder
Clicked POI
Clicked oempoi.gpi

My question is: When I get the repaired gps back, how do I load the gpi file (with the spyderdealers) so that the spyder icon appears on the main page along with such things as 'Favorites', 'Home', 'Gas Stations', etc.?

If I just place the gpi file in the POI folder there will be no Spyder icon on the main page.

Thanks

If you copy the GPI file to your gps it works and the Spyder icon will appear in GO TO screen. It did on my Garmin. The Spyder vehicle is a different file and has to be copied as well.

Do I just plug my gps in and then drop the file to the icon that displays on my pc? So, I don't have to go to a specific folder and drop the gpi file in?
