I can neither confirm or deny the accuracy of this information that I recently received from another Spyder owner.
1. Spyders have been known to over heat. BRP's has a larger fan available that covers the whole radiator. They also recommend wrapping the pipes.
2. BRP recommends that you do NOT fill up the bike with gas after a long ride until it has had a chance to cool down. This is one theory as to the cause of fires.
3. BRP continues to aggressively investigate the cause and fix the steering issues that are still occurring.
