There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Spyder Bucks?

What do you guys think of this idea?

You know the Spyder team sends a big truck out all around the country pushing the Spyder. I'm sure they generate a lot of sales by doing so but it cost them some big bucks too.

Here's my idea. This is a ruff idea how it would work but you'll get the jest of it. When you buy a Spyder you get some cards with a place to put your name as a owner on it and maybe part of your VIN number. These cards could be used to hand out to potential Spyder buyers.

The card could say something like hand this card to your dealer at time of purchase for a free "___________" Not sure what the free thing is yet but it could be a hat or shirt or something like that. Then the dealer would add your name and vin number to the sale and turn it in to BRP and you would get Spyder Bucks that could go toward any BRP Spyder products.

This would motivate you to promote the product and you would get a reward for doing so. I know I've sold quite a few Spyders since I got mine and it would be nice if I got a little something for my time. Who's a better salesman than the end user?

So what do you guys think? Is this a win-win-win? :doorag::spyder:

My husband and I have talked about something like this from the time I got the :spyder: or possible at the dealer level. I don't know if any of the people I've spoke to have bought a :spyder:but I have sure spoke to a ton of people. We are their best advertisement. I like the idea of spider bucks, possible get $ off parts

Because you all know where ever :spyder: goes everyone follows.

:2thumbs: I think it is a great idea!!!!
I know I spend more time "selling" the spyder than most of their sales guys do! I think I have sold 2 or 3 sending them to the dealer where I bought my :spyder:. I've handed out at least 50 of their sales cards to perpective buyers.

Certainly a good idea. My dealer will give $100 gift certificate if you refer someone to them. It doesn't just apply to Spyders, any bike, boat, or jetski counts. If you don't want a gift certificate to the store then they'll give you gift certificates to local restaurants for the same value.

Lamonster,

Gets an A+++ in Marketing 101. The end-user is definitely the greatest tool that BRP (any company) can use to promote and sell.

Now can you get BRP to buy-in.

I won't say who this is from but they do know about it now. :doorag: I think if the members here show their support for this idea on this post it may actually happen.

Actually this is a good idea. Thanks, we will study the possibility for sure.

I have a idea about this for some time.I think i sold about three of these now and maybe more on my most recent 1100 miler thru the Pacific Northwest, a code of some kinda that would be a good way.Im going to get 30.00 supposedly from the dealer at delivery to new customer, guess better than nothing, thinking 100 would be more like it. Den

I know for a fact that I've sold some for the local dealer (he told me this) but most of the folks I tell about the Spyder are going to "their" local dealer so that's why this would need to be done through BRP and not just "our" local dealer.

I'll be putting on another 6,000 in the next few weeks and you can bet I'll sell a few Spyders along the way. I just had 1000 SpyderLovers.com cards made up to hand out and to tell them all the info is here. :doorag:

When I got into work this morning, one of my coworkers said that he and his wife had stopped by the office over the weekend. She saw a pic of my spyder on my desk and decided she had to have one. She has signed up for a class and is getting one ordered, IF I will let her check mine out in a parking lot. I am going to do that this weekend. Last week, we were in Colorado Springs having lunch with friends and a guy kept hanging out by my bike. He was checking it out and checking out the hubby's beemer too. He left and then showed up again when we got ready to leave. Turns out, he went into the restuarant and had dessert to wait for us. After talking for nearly an hour and giving him one of those DVDs that I never give out, he said he was buying one the following Monday. So, I could not agree more. Seeing is believing and hearing great things from real owners sells much better than looking at a website or talking to a dealer who is out to make a buck. Now on a side note, this weekend hubby broke out the Valkyrie. He got stopped and was asked more questions than I was. The Valk is black and chrome and nothing else. It is beautiful. It made his day that he finally got some attention!!

Like the rest of us, every time I stop I get a load of people who detain me for a bit to ask a load of questions. Having spoken to approximately 300 people thus far I think this is a great idea.

Handing out a card, maybe with a special URL just for them that has among other things a FAQ page, would be a great idea. I doubt many of these people would go out of their way to go into a dealership for fear of the hard-sell.

Sign me up

I'm in.

The only problem might be the supply/re-supply of cards. I guess if they're generic and available at any dealer it would work.

 Everywhere I go, as the rest of you I'm bombarded with ?????'s and usually ends with, "Where can I get one?" or I'll tell them to go to the dealer for a test ryde if they have a FLA MC endorsement. I've already given out all the cards from my salesman. I totally agree we should be eligible for something for our efforts in promoting this great machine. :spyder:

along that line of thinking....

a few months ago I asked BRP if they could send out a flyer that I could copy...something with all the facts on it. There are some times that I cannot take the time to discuss the bike...on lunch hr, due at work or appts. They sent a black flyer with white writing, which is too expensive to reproduce (ink-wise). That would have been handy, could have added my name and bike #...and also the names of the closest dealerships. Don't know if anyone of the dealerships would appreciate the assistance, but my policy is that the more Spyders on the road makes me look less odd and makes my errands to faster!

On another note: it only took 4 weeks for my Hindle pipe, back plate, back rest and seat cover to come in...way to go BRP!!!! Got to be a new first.:firstplace:
