• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyder Back On The Road

Just got my Spyder back today after I had been experiencing the steering lock-up problem. The Tech. did the updates and re-calibrated the steering. I told him to put some miles on it before giving it back to me so he rode it about 60 miles and then I rode it about another 60 miles home without any problems. Hopefully this is the end of my problems so for now kudos to Jamaal (I hope I spelled it right) at Mancuso Power Sports Southwest in Houston.

That's good news! Look forward to seeing you soon.

Glad to see you're in the wind once more. Just in time for the good weather:2thumbs:

Looking forward to seeing you again.

Glad to hear you're on the road again. I hope all of your steering problems are behind you.

When I used to drive a Freight liner I took out 2 Tumble weeds at 89mph flat out down there it was great :2thumbs:

Yeah, if it were just tumbleweeds, no problem.

When I moved to Texas ( actually Houston, which is not really Texas ) I sold my motorcycle after a year or so and didn't ride anymore. Too much furniture, pipes, car & truck parts and lumber on the roads :yikes: . In Texas, even the road-debris is "over-sized".

Critters too. When you can be going 85 mph in West Texas and recognize spiders (the 8-legged kind) on and along side of the road - I prefer being in a 'cage'.

Keeping fingers crossed!

Yep, the spiders (Tarantulas) start moving along about July 4 every year. Seems they always move from east to west and right across roads and highways. But I never worry much about them. It's the Jumbo grasshoppers that can be 5 - 6 inches long that bother me. They jump - and that means you can catch them anywhere from your boots to your helmet. And they hurt!
