• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I installed this Tachyon Video camera on my F3 about two weeks ago and i love it

I mounted it on the dash and the camera comes on and off with the engine and records up to 15 hours of riding and then rerecords over the oldest file so you will always have the last 15 or so hours of your ride recorded in fifteen minute intervals.

Photo quality is that of a gopro without all the fuss, much smaller and less noticeable on your spyder.

f3dash2.jpg camera is on dash far left Price is about $229.00

Here is a 15 minute video taken at 720 mode thru the windshield

Any questions??

And Joe, do you have a link for that camera? It sounds too good to be true. Thanks,

David

How could I have missed that link? Sorry about that.

need some close up shots of how you mounted it and some video clips if you have em

Here you go, wires feed right thru the vent into the F3, used 3m double faced tape and attached a small lanyard.

Great but I don't have the extra cash for that. I just purchased a Ion 39.00 buck video cam and just mount it on the F3 handlebars. It records up to 2.5 hours. Draw back is you can not power it and record at the same time. But it is wifi capable and you can swap out the 32 bit sd cards easy. I mainly purchased for insurance purposes. Quality is not bad for 39.00 bucks. I record through my windshield so there is always distortion.

That's why they make different models for different buyers needs

what are you going to do with 15 hours of footage?

the system keeps the last 15 hours of video, in case you want to show it to others or watch it yourself, it also gives you a record of what happened if you are involved in an accident.

yeah it looks cool. You would not have to bother with getting it powered up for a ride. Its always there. I am assuming you can detach easily so no one steals it.

Is there editing software included in either of these? If not, what do you use?
