• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

First long ride this season with the 360 camera

I needed to go to pick up my new seat strut at my "local" dealer. My original local dealer gave up on the on road Can Am models and went for Seadoos only.
Luckily, there is a Can Am dealer a couple of hours drive west of here and they are awesome, great service, and always friendly and helpful.
Driving to them I took the motorway which is quick but boring. So I did not bother to record that.
After getting the seat strut, which they installed for me with no charge, I mounted the camera just behind the windscreen and took another route home.
When I got back home it was back to the laptop to try and edit the footage.
I am no Spielberg for sure, but I do the best I can! ;)
I tried various options in the Insta360 Studio and managed to make a 14-minute-long video of the ride home.
I am amazed at how good the image stabilization is on this cam, going over speedbumps, and not having any shake in the footage.
Video quality is great, but my windshield got dusty, so it looks worse due to that.

Anyway, here is the end result:

Unfortunately, if the dealer replaced the OEM strut with another one… the chances are that it is no better than before! I have had three Spyders, and all have had struts, whether seat or rear top storage lids, fail shortly after going into service or like the last one, being no good when I left the dealership with my new Spyder. I've replaced them with Lamonster's aftermarket struts, which do last.
