. . . fairly gentle curve, good looking road . . . you have to wonder what led to this . . . too many hours riding? . . . another vehicle that crossed into their lane? . . . or just a momentary lapse of attention . . . wish there was some way to know, because when something like this happens, if you know why, it helps other to avoid similar problems.

There was no mention of a medical emergency causing the accident...
No mention of other vehicles that may have left the scene either...

There was no mention because they have no evidence that would point to a Medical emergency Yet !!!!, However the OP was 73 so it's certainly not out of the possibility.....I have friends and will see if I can get better info.......although the Bears up here are very tight mouthed ......Mike

So sad, my condolences to their family.

Like anywhere in the US, Vermont rural roads can be tricky and require constant vigilance. I've had plenty of close calls.
