• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyder accident in Redford, Michigan

When I get F3 I plan to buy camera to fit on my helmet to record any accidents. Question I have if someone hits me from behind I will have no film footage because my camera is facing other way, unless there is a camera that films rear footage.

You can always use 2 cameras. They make them small enough. The camera will shoot in the direction pointed.

If money is no object, gopro just came out with a compact one, and there are others on the market that are less expensive.

:agree: If your wallet can stand the strain; use two!
But I'd hate to live my life waiting for the next big "oops"... and trying to record the proof of what happened.

...But that's just me! :D

The Spyder is only slightly more road friendly than a motorcycle, a little more visible and less likely to fall over in gravel or ice, obviously. It can handle extreme weather and road conditions nearly as much as a car. Don't get fooled into thinking it's safe, though. Watch a motorcycle crash video, you will fly thru the air just the same. Forget about motorcycle deaths, take into account the number of deaths in auto accidents alone. Humans are operating far beyond what the physical body can handle. They have been trying to stop DUI for years, do you honestly think they will stop distracted driving via texting or eating in the car or spilling coffee in your lap...or in my case 6 years ago, bicycles coming down the mountain in your lane and crashing into a guard rail and rock wall to avoid them.
You have to do deal with humans and they have to deal with you, so deal with it. Shakespearean tragedy:Ride or don't ride!

I use an app called Witness on my RAM mounted iPhone while riding. It records video loops continuously and will lock the video when the iPhone G-sensor detects an accident. Works very well. There's probably a similar app for Android.
