• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyder accessories on Amazon.com

I won t buy one until Evan sells a Lid Tipz light for it .

Well, I know you want lights, northramp, 'cause after all it's more important to be seen than to see when you are drinking, so I thought I'd mention this:

I think Ev might be almost done with the quintuple play mug kit, which has five distinct coffee-drinking-light-up functions for various consuming conditions. The stock lighting on the BRP mug (like many of you tell me every time you see me) is just plain inferior and needs replacement at the earliest opportunity. The posi-tap connectors are a breeze to hook up to the coffee mug stock wiring harness.

(I also am now thinking of switching out the stock mug grip for 5 1/4" billet ones, by the way.)

...and has no taste, either! As a matter of fact, I don't think it's even coffee at all. I think that maybe it's coffee flavored KoolAid......:D

OK, HDX--I know you know way more than I do about this, but please don't stir up the "coffee-octane-wars" discussions of 2008 again...

This thread is silly. Perhaps we need to revisit a serious one:

.

No.

Let it go, ataDude.

Your F1-coffee-mug-sidestand prices were exorbitant, your delivery times were horrendous, you wouldn't answer your coffee-mug-hotline telephone, the holes in your design didn't line up with the holes on the stock mug, and several people complained that the steel you used was not optically correct and you could barely see through it.

Not to mention, it's a coffee mug--it probably doesn't need a sidestand.

(It had to be said.)

Not being a coffee drinker, it is obvious to me from this thread that I have a lot to learn. You SpyderLovers members are an incredible resource!

Well, at least Harley tells you right on the can what they're selling ya'..........

:roflblack:

Come on, HDX.

I am trying to keep it civil here, but (and at the risk of you calling me a liberal) you and I have discussed this a hundred times already:

It clearly reads "BLEND" on the can in the photo.

I for one am NOT going to risk voiding the warranty of an expensive mug by using the wrong coffee.

And for RoadDog's sake, please don't bring up that nonsense about Rislone Decaf, Amsoil Cappucino, or Mobil One Espresso.

I'm not risking it.

Is this mug compatible with a JuiceBox?:dontknow:

Jury is out on that one, bro'.

Again, there are many here who outshine me on the technical aspects, but it seems that the Juice Box hooked up using the factory O2 sensor may not be doing much good.

As long as the factory coffee-O2 sensor is kept, the coffee mug's computer will eventually learn and correct the AFR back to 14.5-14.7 regardless of how rich the setting are on the JB. :dontknow:

Scotty, what are you talking about?

You have, what, like 30 coffee mugs in your garage?

Just because they all don't have high-tech nannies in them like the BRP mug, and most of them are not coffee-injected or are without electric start doesn't mean we don't value your caffeinated opinion here.

I gave up on him.......Caught him this weekend with a SOY Spectro latte in a sidecar mug!!:yikes: He just doesn't get it.....
:lecturef_smilie:

Are you serious?! :yikes:

No wonder he doesn't respond to my pm's--he's embarassed.

Although, boy...
I just tried some almond milk and it runs r e a l s m o o t h. No more clunking shifting the mug out of first gear. . . it was, after all, mentioned in the last BRP dealer technical service builletin.

This has been a riot. If we can keep it going for another month. I'll actually be able to ride. I only use 5W - 40 Starbucks blend so I think I'm OK.
The enginers at Valcourt are saying to stick with 5/30 or you can be voiding your warranty :doorag:

Oh, sure, RoadDog.

You put Soy Spectro Latte in your mug's sidecar and then come on here and support the BRP company line?! You're not fooling anybody.

We'll see how well your coffee mug does when the ambient temp gets above 90 degrees this summer.

(BTW, I also happen to know that now that you have your new HD, you regularly drink out of your "I LOVE JAX" mug and have given your BRP mug to Smylinacha.)

Just thought that I'd weigh in on the use of RideOn in the BRP mug. It does prevent leaks. In fact, it plugs the hole completely. No more spills. No more drinking either, but in view of the "colon wear" comment earlier, I may need to cut back on my consumption of the questionable beverage.

Those are vintage hot chocolate mugs. I really like the imported hot chocolate! Especially in the chrome-sided "toaster" mugs. :roflblack:

BRPjunkie, I am glad you brought this up.

This is a great product, but folks have to follow the directions carefully or you are throwing money down the drain :lecturef_smilie::

Don't forget to rotate the mug into which the sealant is to be installed so that the mug stem is between the 5 and 7 o’clock position (bottom half of the mug).

Squeeze the correct amount of sealant into the mug. Consult the dosage table to determine the proper amount to put into the mug. Don't exceed
recommended dosage for your coffee mug.

Use your mug for 3-5 breakfasts to allow the sealant to spread evenly inside your coffee mug. You may experience a slight vibration for up to 10 breakfasts, until it has had a chance to coat the inside of your mug evenly.

Um,

America runs on Dunkin'

but BRP is a Canadian company.

I think I injested some of the RideOn and may be experiencing a plug of another kind. :gaah:

Those are nice, Scotty:

And one of these days I have to get out to your neck of the woods and get my photo taken drinking out of that old three-wheeled coffee mug that you built.

Maybe you need the locking coffee mug plug so that no one else at work will uses your mug.

After you are done with it, turn the key (plug) and remove it, which leaves a hole near the base:

(EDIT--Careful not to drill a hole in the key like this. You may wreck the computer chip and then you will render the coffee mug useless.)
