• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spring Trip

Once a year a group of us (men only) get together for a 3 day spring trip. This has been going on since the mid 70's. We had 19 riders this year with 3 Goldwings, 9 Harley's, 1 Triumph Bonni, 1 BMW, 2 1300cc Honda's, 2 1300cc Yamaha's, and my :f_spider:.

Last year I road my Harley.

This year I was the center of attention with a lot of questions, and guys wanting to ride it. 5 of them did take it for a ride. Most of the comments were about how different if felt in curves, but all agreed it was fun to drive.
One Harley rider after his test ride did tell me that there was one major problem with it. I asked him what that was. He smiled and said that the problem was that it's not his!

Now next year I will have to see if I am still the only one on a Spyder ;)

It may take them a while to come around to our way of thinking..:spyder:..Sooner or later,if they want to keep riding and do it safely, they will :spyder2:

I do not mind being the only one with one as I get all the attention when we stop :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:

Harley trade in s on spyder s are getting more and more commonplace.. Quite a change since five years ago they would not park in the same lot with us

:agree:
Two years ago I was at a dealer to test ride a Spyder when a group of 7 Harley riders road in. Now I was wearing one of my Harley T shirts at the time. As one of the riders was walking toward me I told him that they do not sell Harleys here. He pointed at my T and said "they must sell something here". I told him I was there to test drive a Spyder and he said "that is why I am here". He asked me if I test road the Harley TriGlide. I told him no and he said "Don't bother".
I told him that after one of my riding friends rented one for our weekend ride and complaned about how bad it handles that I had no intention on test driving one.

There still going to be the hard cases, but more and more are seeing the light.
