• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spring Stiffners

Depends..!

there are a couple vendors with them. Developed when brp installed non-adjustable shocks so ryders had no way to adjust for their situation. One system is a block inserted in the coils and twisted (with a box end wrench) to stiffen the spring. The other is installed under the spring and you adjust it as you would the old adjustable oem shocks. They both work welk and help your ryde. Your choice...

Do the block system stiffeners stay put ok? Is there always enough down pressure them keep them in the spring?

I sure like the ones that I got from BajaRon! ;)
They look like an OEM piece, and they are completely adjustable. :2thumbs:

STIFF..OR ..HARSH

Understand what they do. Feedback?

IMHO...Whenever you remove / lessen the amount your spring can compress you are losing ride quality......I changed the angle of my front shocks for just this reason. My springs are the stock length, but because the angle is more up-right they are firmer. Sort of like going from a 100 lb spring to a 125 lb spring of the same length ( example ). I still get full spring movement only it's firmer .........Mike

Mike, where did you buy the bracket to change the angle of your shocks?

ANGLE BRACKETS

Mike, where did you buy the bracket to change the angle of your shocks?
:agree: Bob, I didn't buy them. I made them from 1/8 steel flat stock ( and a welder ). They look like an up-side down " L ". They fit tightly into the OEM frame. The bottom is bolted (with a spacer) using the original hole for the Shock. The top has a new hole for the shock. I kept the ride height the same and at Spyderfest (15) when I went for a Lazer alignment ....the tech said it was OK , didn't need any adjustment. My ride has improved a lot, especially on rough pavement. My suspension still has the travel necessary to absorb the bumps........Mike

could you post a drawing or picture of the bracket you made? I like your idea especially about increasing ride height while maintaining travel

:dontknow:.....As stated " I kept the ride height the SAME "........." L ".....now turn it up-side down the flat part points out towards the wheel ....at the end is a hole where the shock bolt goes thru.......To get a PIC, I would have to remove my frunk............I did make templates of the brackets so I'll ask Dee to do PICS of them. and Post it later.........Mike ..................PS---this bracket thing involves cutting off to useless/ un-necessary metal tabs BRP put at the ends of the FRAME to prevent this from being done.....Lenny ( pitbull ) made similar brackets for the 08 thru 12 frames and they worked GREAT.....BRP didn't like that He did that so they made it a " NON-BOLT-ON - ONLY " procedure.....Also the " Air Snorkel Tube " needs either a piece cut out or complete removal......I did complete removal because the Engine can't breath with the OEM plastic thing IMO.....Mike
