• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spring is Coming!

Getting closer Bob

Our back roads are like mud from all the sand :gaah::gaah:

Our Town's Highway Superintendent found something new to put on the roads this year... and it's not pretty! It's like a finely crushed gray stone material. It'll give you GREAT traction when the chips are down, but WOW! It is so heavy, that it's almost impossible to wash it off of the driveway, when it comes off of your vehicle after a washing...nojoke
I'll get a picture of it, and see if you can tell me what this stuff is.

EDIT: Here's a shot of it. It looks like concrete dust...

Nice little short jaunt in Iowa, easily put 100 miles on her. I'll take it, 70 degrees in Iowa in February. Hopefully it sticks around, might be the s word in the forecast this weekend.:spyder2:

It looks like stone dust, or 1-B's or Dirty B's [same thing], it's a byproduct from crushing stone and an alternative to sand. I have this week off, I have to get out thu. for a ride. I'm only 1/8 mile from rte. 30 and all the traffic has blown most of the salt away, I think it should be OK to take a short one.

Do you hit Route 30 North of Route 28? :dontknow:

The salt and brine wash away much quicker than this stuff does; you should be okay.

Yeah, I'm way up, I hit route 30 on the Fulton-Hamilton county line. Route 30 up this way is real busy with snowmobilers and skiers etc. They've got most of the salt blown off. If I stay on the beaten path I'll be OK.

We will have to meet up the Season: you come South on 30, and we can meet anywhere between Margaretville, and Roscoe!

I got my Spyder out of hibernation and rode Saturday, Sunday, and Monday and now it is back in the cave. It was refreshing [emoji846]to ride again.

Rare

Couldn't pass up this freakish weather. Rode to Saratoga, had a couple slices, stopped in Galway on the way back and had a cocktail.;)
