• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I removed the non functioning spot light switch(factory) and would like to replace it with a switch where I can see the indicator light when the lights are on. The factory switch has 4 wires, 2 black, a red and a blue. Any idea what they are for. Do I need to replace it with a 4 pin switch. thanks Jim

SWITCH

If you are not doing BRP stuff............you can find a matching switch that works that way and only has two connections........................jmho......Mike :bbq:

SWITCH

How would the wires connect to the switch?
You said it was a non-functioning SWITCH !!!!..... If you re-place the Non-functioning Switch with another Switch ...the new switch will be NON-FUNCTIONING ALSO .....except it will now light -up..... We need more info about your plans ---- at least I do........sorry .....Mike :bbq:

Spot light switch.

When the stock switch worked the light was very faint-I could not see if the lights were on. Then the light on the switch failed so I removed it and would like to replaced it with a non stock switch. Simple toggle switch(on or off) or rocker switch-would like it to be lit. To connect I would use male connectors or what ever the new switch required. I have a replacement switch- Napa- but that only has 3 pins, it does work. I am looking for a switch that has 4 pins and will fit. I am not against using a rectangular switch. What are the 4 wires for? One has to be switched power, one to relay switch, one to light up the switch-and the last one(ground)? Cold in Buffalo so I cannot run the bike to figure this out on it(lights only come on when running) thanks Jim
